Relationships, Sex and Health Education for SEND parents
Wondering where to start with relationships, sex and health education (RSHE) and your SEND child? We are here to help! Alice Hoyle National Relationships and Sex Education Expert and SEND mum is offering a 1.5hour interactive online session to Sefton PCF members on tips and tricks to having these conversations at home and how to enhance the RSHE they receive from school (if they attend school). The session will cover the early years to post 16 in a lifecourse age and stage appropriate approach so long as your child is under 18 you can join us.
25th Sept 6.30pm-8.30pm ONLINE 1.5hours presentation followed by 30 mins for Q&A. Please try to arrive promptly as from 7.15 you may not be admitted to the session as you will have missed the group agreement and safe online space part of the workshop!
To attend this session you will need to have signed up for a ticket as a member of Sefton PCF and fill in a form to guide us as to the a) age ranges of your children and b) needs in your family c_ specific questions or concerns you have about RSHE to help Alice can tailor her talk. The form will be emailed to you once you get a ticket and supply us with your information.
If possible you will also need a secondary internet enabled device with a touch screen such as a phone or tablet to enable to you to interact with the presentation (you can switch between screens but some people find it easier to have two). Bring a notepad and pen to note down some of the signposting and a hand out will be sent out after the session. A link will be sent out before the session.
Please do not share this link with anyone else- they would need to sign up to access the session themselves. The session will not be recorded and will not be made available afterwards.
